Model of Engagement: Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships

Multi –Stakeholder Partnerships (MSPs) are about partnerships that are greater than the sum of its parts and about creating lasting and meaningful impact at all levels of policy action and implementation across India. They are meant to promote a more holistic approach to a National ICT in School Education policy development and implementation process. The partnerships approach aims to create a dynamic group of stakeholders with unique complementary strengths or core competencies, who add value to development efforts and pool their resources and assets in solving problems. The models of engagement include:

  • Knowledge Sharing: Engagement with Communities of Practice in the process of developing the National Policy on ICT in School Education

  • Policy Development Dialogue: Sharing of learning, experiences and ideas from people and organisations working in/for ICT in Education at national and regional scale

  • Open and Transparent Partnerships – Encourage and build focus groups with lead and member partnerships on content, infrastructure, capacity building and other key thematic areas identified for a robust policy

  • Knowledge Integration for Policy: Incorporate inputs, suggestions and recommendations to create an enriched policy document, ready for implementation in the states

  • Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India
  • GeSCI
  • CSDMS - Core implementation partner
