GeSCI – CSDMS
A combined commitment to build knowledge community
The Global e-Schools and Communities Initiative (GeSCI), founded by the United Nation’s ICT Task Force is collaborating with Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) to support and facilitate the common agenda of GeSCI and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to develop the Guiding Principles and formulation of the National Policy on ICT in School Education.
CSDMS is the lead knowledge and implementation partner in India to support and facilitate the policy formulation with MHRD, and other key stakeholders while GeSCI plays the role of key facilitator.
The partnership with CSDMS as the core implementation partner aims to undertake a demand-driven, collaborative and comprehensive approach through extensive research, documentation, advocacy and facilitation for a participatory policy development. CSDMS aims to provide as a pivotal role in overall co-ordination for policy development through multi-stakeholder consultations of policymakers and practitioners of ICT in education sector. The partnership also involves strategy planning and policy development to be enriched by well documented research result and outputs, includes creation of policy analysis dossier, facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations, and widening knowledge sharing and knowledge building platform.
