Introduction:
A complete education will improve the standard of life among common population. Since Computer is a powerful tool and common sense is the only basic requirement, the dream to bring quality in life can be achieved through education with the help of ICT.

Vision:
Better Life Standards by improving quality in the basic needs of life through Education using ICT

Objective:
Helping students to identify their talents. Providing opportunity based on talent with the help of ICT. Making ICT as a common platform for developments.

Guidelines

Community Radio
# community radio can play a vital roll on ICT in Education
# non-school members will also be benefited
# schools and institutions capable of managing community radio project should be encouraged to take community radio project

Better evaluation System
# online testing should be implemented for all at regional level
# multidimensional skills are to be tested
# the test result should guide the students to shape their talents
# enabling students to select the test of any level on any age group

Teacher Training
# highest priority should be given for teacher training
# necessary teacher training should be given in ICT
# continuous training and support should be given.
# video conferencing should be used a part of training
# teachers evaluation should be done to improve their quality of teaching.
# better remuneration will bring better results on training.

Better Infrastructure
The schools should be equipped with the following
# Computer lab with at least 5 computers and a server
# Necessary Open Source Software
# LCD projector [can be shared by neighboring schools ]
# Un-interpreted power supply with at least 1 hr battery backup
# Internet connectivity [ at least 128 Kbps speed ]
# student and staff database
# Training for all the teachers to handle the ICT equipment
# Good collection of Audio Visual Teaching Aids.

Open Content
# the text books should be available online
# national level Wiki enabled text book related content should be developed
# Audio Visual Aids and Teachers presentations should be available under Free and Open

National Wiki Site on Education
# A wiki enabled national Education site is needed
# Volunteers can add content and translation of existing content
# Question bank suitable for State wise syllabus
# State level Mailing list should be created
# Career Guidance should be given

FOSS [ Free and Open Source Software ]
# The curriculum should be designed based on FOSS
# Software should be developed for online exam, school web site, animated content etc…
# Software should be developed for reasoning, counseling and adult education.
# software are needed to understand the fundamental concepts.
# Students can do simple projects in FOSS.

Tool Free Education Help Line
# Popularizing Tool Free helpline for education”. [like Eduplus ]
# The help line answered by selective group of young, upgradeable, enthusiastic , interested and experienced teachers
# The help line should be in regional language based on state wise syllabus.
Compulsory Educational Programs on TV , Radio and FM Channels
# everyday 30 min. compulsory educational programs from TV, Radio and FM channels should be one of the criteria for their license.
# a “repeat” of the same can be telecasted on the same day Selective Team of decision makers
# a selective team consisting of Educators, Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers , Judges, Top Police Officers,

Responsible Political Leaders , IAS officers should be formed.
National Institutes and Universities contribution

# The national institutes like IIT, IIM , IIS etc… and Universities should take the responsibly in certain area like content development, teachers seminars, infrastructure usage etc… From “Basic Needs” to “Advanced Science”
# The curriculum should give better understanding on Basic needs
# A strong understanding on fundamental science and mathematics concepts should be implemented.
# Un necessary concepts on Science and Mathematics should be avoided.
# it should be “From Student to Text Book” and not “Text Book to Student”
